Garden Lawn Shop, based in Grantham, is a retailer of professional garden and amenity products. They approached Malinky Media to design and build a bespoke ecommerce website to sell their product range online.
Following success locally, Garden Lawn Shop wished to start selling their range of garden and amenity products nationally. A bespoke ecommerce website was required to sell a range of products from a number of suppliers. A content management system was also required to manage the product data.
The solution involved 5 key areas; front end design, web development, an online payment system, a content management system and product data search engine optimisation.
The user interface was carefully designed to deliver customers an aesthetically pleasing, seamless shopping experience which allowed them to browse products by departments and categories, view detailed product information, choose delivery dates and pay online.
The content management system allowed Garden Lawn Shop employees to easily categorise, manage and upload product data to the live website.
The payment system involved an integrated shopping cart giving customers the choice of paying with debit / credit cards, paypal or over the phone.
Malinky Media optimised product copy and implemented additional content recommendations to deliver high search engine rankings and create Garden Lawn Shop sales online.
Garden Lawn Shop launched in June 2010 and was soon rewarded with its first sale. The new online business has gone from strength to strength with sales all over the country. They wish to continue their relationship with Malinky Media to improve the user experience and the websites SEO.
