Lakeland Earthworks are one of the country's leading sports pitch construction and earthworks contractors, specialising in golf course construction. They required a website that would help drive their business forward and attract a new client base.
Lakeland Earthworks approached Malinky Media for a new website that could showcase the construction services they offered. They also requested a photo gallery to demonstrate the variation of the work they had completed. With little web experience they also sought advice on the type of content that should be included.
Following several meetings with Lakeland to better understand their business, we agreed to not only design and build the website, but to write fresh, search engine friendly content.
The design used an existing logo and colour scheme and was laid out in such a way that photos accompanied all copy. In terms of the on-site SEO it was important the content was well written to attract visitors through the search engines. However, once visitors had arrived, it was agreed that photographs of the works being carried out were worth 100 words.
A stand alone photo gallery was also developed, which could be maintained by the Lakeland Director.
The website has been steadily climbing the search engine result pages since its launch and Lakeland are starting to receive calls from new clients.
